pondering my role in a bigger story
i'm really wanting to make the switch from a PC/laptop to a MacBook. any of you out there with strong opinions on one over the other? make your case here.Labels: apple, creativity, random

A transplanted Southerner, I currently make my home in Colorado. In addition to writing on faith and culture issues, I also like to write on idiosyncrasies of The South. I have a love/hate relationship with knitting, enjoy photography and am currently working on a photo series called The Plastic Jesus Project. And I fancy corn dogs and sweet potato fries from Sputnik. And bacon.

Mac, Mac, Mac, once you go mac you NEVER go back. I am not that computer savvy, but I have a Mac G5 that I do all my work on. I needed a laptop for on site photog stuff, so in a box in my room is my beautiful macbookpro, 15", glossy screen, 2.24ghz, 120 gb hard drive, and 2 gb ram. It was delivered last week, and since I have been home from the hospital I haven't had a free moment to spare to even open the box. I am hoping to find time today.
I think because of your creativity you would love the mac, is your home computer a mac or pc?

I second the motion--Mac all the way. My daughter convinced me to switch several years ago. I have a laptop and a desktop and love love love them. They are older than the current models that allow you to run Windows apps--but I've not missed Microsoft. Best thing--no pesky viruses.

Just switched to a Mac, after having used them singularly at my work (teacher). LOVE the fact that we switched at home. We have had ZERO problems with photos, videos, speed, etc. Nothing like our previous PCs.

My Mac Powerbook is a thing of beauty. I love it and all things Mac and Apple. I moc my Dell at work. Moc Moc. It mocs me back. But my Mac is my friend.
